About us
This website, mycvscore.co.uk, is operated by Blab Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11511037), whose registered office is Coridon, St James Road, Bridport, Dorset, DT6 5LL. You can contact us at hello@mycvscore.co.uk. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Blab Media Ltd, and "you" means the person using the site.
What we provide
- Free CV score: an automated check of a CV for readability, structure and content, with a score out of 100.
- Full report: a paid report that explains each issue and how to fix it.
- Application bundle: a paid product that includes the full report plus a cover letter and email written for a job you choose.
The paid products are digital content, delivered online. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where VAT applies.
A guide, not a guarantee
The score and reports are a guide to the readability and quality of your CV, based on common problems. They are not a prediction of how any employer, recruiter or software system will treat your CV. We do not promise that using our services will get you an interview or a job, and we are not connected to any employer, job board or recruitment system.
Cover letters, emails and other text written for you are drafts. They may contain mistakes or statements that do not apply to you. You are responsible for checking and correcting them before you send them, and for making sure that everything you send to an employer is accurate and true.
Your content
You keep ownership of your CV and any other material you give us. You promise that you have the right to use it, and that it does not break anyone else's rights or the law. For paid products, you give us permission to process your content, including by using the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, only to deliver the product to you. We do not use your CV to market to employers.
You may use the documents we produce for you for your own job applications.
Buying a paid product
When you complete checkout and we send your order confirmation, a contract is formed between you and us. Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout. We deliver paid products digitally, normally within minutes, and send them to the email address you give us, or make them available on screen.
Your right to cancel and our refund policy are set out on our Refunds page.
Using the site
You agree not to misuse the site. That includes attempting to disrupt it or gain unauthorised access, scraping or copying it automatically, uploading anything unlawful or harmful, or using it to harm others. We may refuse or suspend access if you do.
Our intellectual property
The website, its design, text, software and scoring rules belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them, except as the law allows.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity. This includes not getting an interview or a job. Our total liability to you for any one paid product is limited to the price you paid for it.
The free score is provided as it is, and we do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors.
Changes
We may change the site, our services and these terms. If we change the terms, the version in force when you buy a paid product applies to that purchase.
Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint, please email us at hello@mycvscore.co.uk and we will try to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts of your home country. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live.
